Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Addola mobile application (the “App”), provided by Addola Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17394021, with its registered office at 124–128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Addola. We ask for your date of birth when you create your account, and we refuse an account for anyone younger. We do not keep the date — see section 7 of our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. We may require email verification before you can access certain features.

3. The service

Addola lets you create, share, and collaborate on lists with other users in real time. Some features, such as the number of lists you can own or collaborators per list, are limited on the free plan and can be increased with an Addola Plus subscription.

4. Subscriptions (Addola Plus)

  • Addola Plus is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billed at the price and interval shown at the time of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Cancel at any time via your App Store or Play Store account settings — cancellation is handled by the store, not inside the App.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies — we do not directly process payments or refunds.
  • If a subscription payment fails, you may enter a grace period during which Addola Plus features remain available before your account reverts to the free plan.
  • Where an introductory offer or free trial is available, its length and price are shown at the point of purchase. Unless you cancel before it ends, it converts automatically into a paid auto-renewing subscription at the standard price.
  • Deleting your Addola account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in the store first — see Delete your account.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you may have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. Because Apple and Google sell Addola Plus and take the payment, that right and any refund are handled under their policies, through them. Nothing here removes a statutory right you have.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the lists, items, and other content you create in Addola (“Your Content”). By posting Your Content to a shared list, you grant the other members of that list permission to view, edit, and interact with it as part of using the App. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Addola for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user’s account or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure, or attempt to bypass subscription or usage limits.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates another person’s rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This removes your account and the lists you own, and it cannot be undone. On a shared list you joined but do not own, the list stays with its owner and items linked to you are removed from it.

If you cannot open the App, you can ask us to delete your account instead. Delete your account explains both routes and exactly what goes; section 5 of our Privacy Policy covers what we keep and for how long.

Deleting your account does not cancel an Addola Plus subscription. Cancel that in your App Store or Play Store account settings first, or you will keep being billed.

8. Disclaimers

Addola is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and nothing here removes that.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any breach of the terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015; or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Addola Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the App, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are liable for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for any business loss — the App is supplied for private use.

10. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to the Terms, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
